Tóbíró strand is one of the free beaches around the lake. It is only 250 meters from the door . It is a grassy beach with a separeted pool for children. You can also find there some bars and the only wakeboard cable park of the region.
In the morning the beginners can learn the basics than in the afternoon the advanced wakeboarders can show their tricks since the cable park has various floating obstacles.
The idea of the project called "The Gate of Lake Velence" was born in 2006, then in 2008 with the combined financial support of the European Union, Hungary and the city of Velence the execution of the investment began.
The Gate of Lake Velence and the Velence Corso Service Facility were designed and built with a purposeful improvement conception and were handed over on 30 May 2014
There is a well-built bicycle road around the lake passing by several natural and cultural sights. It is 33 km long and you can manage it easily within 4 hours.
If you want to rent a bicycle you can choose from several option.
Fishing could be one of the most relaxing sport. You can buy your daily ticket in the FOGAS fishing shop which is few steps from the door in Fő utca.
You can even have a boat-trip around the lake.

The Pákozd-Sukoró Arboretum of 96 hectares territory is situated in the most beautiful region of the Lake Velence. 250 tree and shrub species and a lot of interesting sights all await for our dear guest. From the lookout you can take pleasure in the landscape. The country museum gives inspection in the cultural history of the surroundings, presents the amentity of the landscape, fallows it's geohistorical emergence, the climate, the geological and the edaphic conditions and it's hydrography. Visitors get a taste from the exceptionally rich and diverse flora and fauna. In the entrance hall there is a fishing exhibition. On the forest demonstration trail you can get aquainted with the role of the forest and the foresters.
The capital is closer than you think. It is only a 43 minutes journey with train to Budapest-Déli station.
Székesfehérvár, a royal residence (székhely), as capital of the Kingdom of Hungary, held a central role in the Middle Ages. This small inn has nothing to do with the Hungarian Prime Minister. :) It was named by the patron saint of the winemakers, Saint Urban of Langres (in Hungarian Szent Orbán).
You can find both Hungarian and international specialities in the menu and you can taste wines made around the lake.
The inn's just referred as the jewelry box of Bence-hegy. Indeed, it is not simply recommended but a must to visit this gastro-experience with its beautiful flower garden seeing the sunset over the lake.
Hungarian family taste cuisine. You can find fish, wild and vegeterian meals on menu. The wine menu contains a good selection of Hungarian wines. Saturday nights an authentic Gipsy Band provides the music.
